What Happens During a 10-Week Minecraft Therapy Cohort with Victoria Prisco
Each cohort is carefully structured to balance creative freedom and coordinated group activities, giving kids multiple opportunities to practice social-emotional skills in real time.
🧱 Creative Building Weeks
Kids are given the freedom to design, build, and collaborate in the realm. These sessions encourage self-expression, communication, and respectful interaction while sharing virtual space with peers.
🔍 Coordinated Group Play Weeks
Activities like Realm Hide and Seek promote teamwork, turn-taking, rule-following, and social problem-solving—all within a fun, game-based structure.
🧠 Mod Introduction Weeks
New Minecraft “mods” are introduced during select weeks to simulate real-life academic and social challenges. Children read in-game spell books to understand how the new feature works, building key executive function skills like reading comprehension, patience, and emotional control.
These experiences help kids:
🧠 Practice impulse control – waiting their turn to use a mod
💪 Build frustration tolerance – staying calm when things don’t go right
❤️ Improve emotional regulation – resisting urges to act out toward peers
These moments are coached live by Victoria, who helps children reflect, reset, and respond to challenges constructively—skills they can use at school, at home, and with peers offline.

🧒 Co-ed | Ages 8–12
💻 Platform: Google Meet + Minecraft Bedrock Realm

The Power of Play:
Minecraft's familiar world allows children to feel comfortable and engaged. Through collaborative gameplay, they learn valuable social skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fun and natural way.

Building Confidence Brick by Brick:
Completing tasks and building friendships within the game fosters a sense of accomplishment and belonging, boosting your child's self-esteem and confidence. This newfound confidence empowers them to translate these skills into real-life interactions.
Natural Opportunities for Growth:
As they navigate the world of Minecraft, natural opportunities arise to discuss real-life challenges:
Working together to gather resources can spark conversations about anxiety and coping mechanisms.
Building a shelter together can open doors to discuss navigating social situations or feeling isolated.
Overcoming in-game obstacles can provide lessons in persistence and problem-solving for children with learning disabilities.
Parent Support Sessions:
Throughout the time your child is registered for the group, I offer parenting sessions where you can schedule family sessions with me to build on skills such as:
Managing a child who talks endlessly and how to reduce overstimulation.
Helping your child develop impulse control and reduce interruptions.
Supporting your child’s anxiety, OCD, or difficulty completing tasks independently.
Implementing strategies that can also be applied in school through a 504 Plan or IEP.
Encouraging speech development and alternative communication strategies for children with speech impediments or Tourette’s.
Flexible Participation:
I understand that every child is unique, and we all have our days. Your child can participate in discussions through audio only, or engage in both discussion and gameplay – the choice is theirs! This ensures a comfortable environment for growth, empowerment, and skill-building.

More Than Just a Game
Minecraft Therapy is more than just building structures and battling creepers. It’s a learning experience led by Victoria, a special education teacher and licensed therapist, who guides your child’s journey of social and emotional development. Through structured on-camera sessions and guided gameplay, your child will develop emotional regulation, communication skills, and real-world coping strategies that extend beyond the digital world.
This group focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment for children with ADHD, AuDHD, autism, OCD, Tourette’s, learning disabilities, speech impediments to safely come together, build friendships and self worth.
Here's How It Works
We meet on camera using weekly Google Meet calls (HIPAA compliant) for group discussions, ensuring active engagement and social interaction. Concurrently, children join a private Minecraft Bedrock server, which allows them to participate via iPad, mobile, console, or computer. The group is limited to 10 participants to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to engage and benefit from the session.
Sessions are held on Tuesday’s 4:30 – 5:30pm Eastern
